Why Men Love Pro Wrestling

Wrestling Is Sports-Entertainment At Its Finest

Pro wrestling is a soap-opera geared toward men and it's arguably the greatest form of entertainment there is.

Pro wrestling is no longer traditional "wrasslin," it is now sports-entertainment. It has something for everyone. It features great drama, suspense, action, adventure, comedy, violence, and sex-appeal. A good movie has maybe one or two of these elements. Wrestling contains all of these rolled into one. The knock on wresling is that it's fake, but movies and soap-operas are also choreographed or "fake" and that doesn't stop people from enjoying them. Wrestlers also work in front of a live crowd. Unlike movie and soap actors, they can't do scenes over and over until they get them right. They only get one take.

Pro Wrestling and Emotions

Pro wrestling can take you through the gamut of emotions. It can make you cheer, it can make you boo, make you laugh one second and cry the next. It has compelling storylines and many plot twists and turns. It leaves you on the edge of your seat, wondering what's going to happen next. There are many different types of performers in wrestling. There are great technical wrestlers, great brawlers, great high-flyers, great talkers, great comics, great storytellers, great heros, and great villains. Then there is the rare breed like a Chris Jericho or a Shawn Michaels who do everything well. The storylines must stay fresh so sometimes the hero becomes a villain or vice versa. Why did the "bad guy" come to the "good guy's" aid? Why did the "good guy" betray his best friend and stab him in the back? It will all be explained in due time.

Living Vicariously Through Pro Wrestlers

Men live vicariously through their favorite pro wrestlers. You see, most men have a "macho" gene whichmakes them want to beat up guys that they don't like. In the real world, you can't do that without facing charges and possible jail time. In pro wrestling's fantasy world, you can do it without any legal ramifications. When pro wrestling was at its zenith in the late '90s, the biggest star was a guy named "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He was a man's man. He talked tough and he backed it up. If his boss, Vince McMahon, made him mad, he beat him up and left him laying, something most men wish they could do to their own boss. If they do, however, they will be fired, so they just live vicariously through guys like "Stone Cold."

The Women

There's one more thing men love about wrestling - the women. Pro wrestling features many beautiful women in sexy outfits. They are more than just pretty faces, however. They are very athletic and can hold their own in the ring. What most men really like, though, is a good catfight.

Pro Wrestling is for Women Too

Wrestling isn't just for men, though. It can also appeal to women. The initial appeal is the fact that most of the wrestlers are good-looking guys who have nice tans, nice hair, and nice physiques. Once women give wrestling a try, they will be hooked on all the elements that make wrestling the greatest form of sports-entertainment. They will soon be living vicariously through their favorite diva. So ladies, the next time your man wants to watch wrestling, watch it with him, you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
